Design and Planning Phase
This foundational stage is the most critical for a successful remodel. We work closely with you to ensure the final result is exactly what you envision.
Initial Consultation and Goal Setting: We start by discussing your vision, functional needs, style preferences, and budget to establish clear project goals.
Layout and Space Planning: We design a new kitchen layout to maximize workflow, efficiency, and space. This includes planning the placement of cabinets, the “work triangle” (sink, stove, refrigerator), islands, and other key elements.
Material and Finish Selection: Our team assists you in selecting all materials and finishes, including cabinetry, countertops, backsplashes, flooring, and hardware, ensuring they align with your style and are durable for daily use.
Appliance Selection: We help you choose new appliances that fit the design, your needs, and the dimensions of the new layout.
3D Renderings and Detailed Plans: We provide detailed drawings and 3D visualizations so you can see your new kitchen before construction begins.
Permit Acquisition: Our team will handle the process of obtaining all necessary building permits required for the renovation.
Demolition and Structural Preparation
Once the plan is finalized, we prepare the space for the new installation.
Clearing and Disconnection: We safely disconnect all plumbing, gas, and electrical services in the kitchen.
Demolition and Debris Removal: This involves the careful removal of old cabinets, countertops, appliances, flooring, and fixtures, followed by the responsible disposal of all debris.
Structural Modifications: If the new design requires it, we perform any necessary framing or structural changes, such as removing or altering walls to create an open-concept space.
Rough-In for Core Systems
Before walls are closed up, we install the essential infrastructure for your new kitchen.
Plumbing Rough-In: Our licensed plumbers will run new water supply and drain lines for the sink, dishwasher, refrigerator (for ice-maker), and pot fillers.
Electrical Rough-In: Certified electricians will run new wiring for outlets, switches, and all lighting (recessed, under-cabinet, and pendant). This includes installing dedicated circuits for major appliances.
HVAC Adjustments: If needed, we reroute or install new ductwork for range hoods and ventilation systems.
Installation of Surfaces and Cabinetry
This is where the visual transformation truly begins.
Drywall and Plastering: We install, tape, and finish new drywall on walls and ceilings, creating a smooth surface ready for paint.
Flooring Installation: The new kitchen flooring is installed. Popular choices include hardwood, tile, or luxury vinyl plank.
Cabinet Installation: Our craftsmen precisely install your new kitchen cabinets, ensuring they are perfectly level, aligned, and securely mounted. This includes base cabinets, wall cabinets, and any pantries or custom built-ins.
Countertop Templating and Installation: After the base cabinets are in, we take precise measurements (templating) for your new countertops. The custom-fabricated countertops are then professionally installed.
Finishing, Fixtures, and Appliance Installation
The final phase brings all the elements together to complete your new kitchen.
Painting and Trim Work: Walls, ceilings, and trim are painted with high-quality paint. Baseboards, window casings, and any crown molding are also installed.
Backsplash Installation: The tile or slab backsplash is installed between the countertop and the wall cabinets.
Final Plumbing and Electrical: We reconnect all systems by:
– Installing the sink, faucet, and garbage disposal.
– Connecting all appliances, light fixtures, switches, and outlets.
Appliance Installation: The refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, cooktop, and microwave are put into place and connected.
Hardware and Final Touches: Cabinet handles, knobs, and other decorative hardware are installed.
Final Walkthrough and Cleanup: We conduct a thorough cleanup of the entire site and perform a final walkthrough with you to ensure every detail meets your satisfaction.
